A guided one-hour cruise along central Abu Dhabi's waterfront, distinct from the operator's Yas Island boat tours.

Overview

The Yellow Boats' 60-minute Corniche tour is a compact introduction to Abu Dhabi's city waterfront from an open speedboat. Instead of travelling around Yas Island, this route focuses on central Abu Dhabi: the Emirates Palace shoreline, the long Corniche skyline, Lulu Island and views towards landmarks such as the Presidential Palace and Heritage Village. The English-speaking skipper provides live commentary, slowing or pausing where conditions allow so passengers can photograph the city from the water.

The ticket includes a shared guided cruise, bottled water and a lightweight life jacket. It is not a private charter, a swimming trip or admission to any of the attractions visible from the boat. This product departs from Marine Marina in the Al Kasir area, not Pier 71 at Yas Bay, where the operator's separate 45- and 75-minute Yas Island experiences meet. Plan for an hour on the water plus time to find the correct departure berth and complete boarding.

About the attraction
Abu Dhabi's Corniche brings together very different parts of the city's identity. Along the shore are contemporary towers, the grand Emirates Palace hotel and the landscaped public waterfront. Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace, is a working government landmark as well as a visitor attraction; from the sea you see its monumental architecture without entering the building.

Heritage Village near the Corniche Breakwater interprets aspects of life before the city's transformation, including a traditional-style souk and craft displays. Nearby Lulu Island provides a contrasting, lower skyline across the water. Seeing these places on a single coastal route helps put their locations into perspective, even though the boat does not land at the village, palace or island. The separate Yas Island cruises tell a different story, centred on entertainment venues and newer marina developments.
Who is it for
Well suited to first-time visitors, photographers and travellers who want a short guided view of central Abu Dhabi without spending a day visiting several attractions. It can also work for families whose children meet the operator's age, weight and life-jacket rules. Choose a land-based tour instead if your priority is entering Qasr Al Watan, exploring Heritage Village or walking along the Corniche. This open RIB ride is unsuitable for pregnant guests and for passengers with certain back or neck conditions. Travellers requiring mobility assistance must arrange it with the operator before booking.
What to expect
1. Head to the Abu Dhabi Marine Marina area in Al Kasir for your reserved departure. The ticket identifies Berth E32 as the starting point. Look for The Yellow Boats' crew and follow the exact location on your final voucher; some older directions refer to a different dock within the Emirates Palace Marina area.

2. Check in with your smartphone ticket and identification, receive the safety briefing and put on the supplied life jacket. You will travel as a passenger with a skipper, not drive the boat yourself. A tour group can include other paying guests; the seller lists up to 20 participants.

3. Set out past the central waterfront. The operator highlights Emirates Palace, views toward Qasr Al Watan, Heritage Village and the extensive Corniche skyline. Listen to the English commentary while viewing the architecture from the sea.

4. Continue towards Lulu Island and other viewpoints chosen by the skipper. Photo pauses are made on the water; passengers stay aboard throughout. The exact position and sequence may change in response to marine traffic, weather or Coast Guard instructions.

5. Return to the departure marina after approximately 60 minutes. The hour describes the sightseeing cruise, so leave a margin for check-in before sailing and for onward travel afterward.
Before you go
The booking's stated departure point is Berth E32, Marine Marina, Al Kasir, Abu Dhabi, near the Emirates Palace Marina area. The seller's older approach directions also mention Gate 3 and Dock C, while another current booking notice identifies Berth E32 near Yacht Gourmet Café. Because these berth references differ, rely on the meeting instructions in your dated voucher and confirm the precise check-in point with The Yellow Boats before travelling. This is not the Yas Bay Pier 71 departure used for the Yas Island tours.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before the booked time and bring a valid passport or Emirates ID; identity checks are required by the Coast Guard. Check-in after departure can be treated as a no-show. The boat is open to the air, so bring sun protection and secure hats, glasses and phones against wind and occasional spray. Water and life jackets are provided; food, other drinks and hotel transfers are excluded.

Check suitability before paying. The operator's promotional tour description mentions ages four and over, but its published booking conditions say children must be at least five, and the child fare requires a weight above 15 kg. Do not book for a four-year-old without express written confirmation. Pregnant passengers and those with back or neck problems are not permitted under the operator's safety terms. A wheelchair cannot remain on this type of boat, although boarding assistance may be possible; ask about safe transfer and seating before purchasing.

This specific ticket allows cancellation and rescheduling up to 48 hours before departure. The skipper may change or cancel a trip for weather, marine authority rules or minimum passenger requirements, so keep your contact details current. The Yellow Boats Charter LLC operates the cruise; the linked ticket checkout is with a separate seller, whose final booking terms govern your purchase.
Reschedule and cancellation policy
Cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the activity.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Corniche tour the same as a Yas Island speedboat tour?
No. This is a 60-minute route around central Abu Dhabi's Corniche, Emirates Palace and Lulu Island, departing from the Marine Marina area. The 45- and 75-minute Yas Island tours are separate products that depart from Yas Bay and focus on different waterfront sights.
Can we visit Emirates Palace or Qasr Al Watan during the cruise?
No attraction admission or shore stop is included. The boat offers views and photo opportunities from the water; a visit inside the palace, Heritage Village or another landmark requires separate arrangements.
