Overview

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is an indoor wildlife attraction at Al Qana in the Rabdan area. This ticket provides entry to the aquarium's ten themed zones and includes the Pristine Seas exhibition as listed by this specific booking provider. Visitors move through marine and freshwater environments at their own pace, with exhibits ranging from local Arabian Gulf habitats to tropical and cold-water ecosystems.

Choosing the right variant matters. Basic aquarium admission does not automatically include a behind-the-scenes tour, the Aqua Glass Bridge or a glass-bottom boat trip. The Beyond the Glass option adds the tour and bridge, while the Bu Tinah Dhow option includes the boat. A separate All Access Pass combines several extras, and a separate combo ticket adds the Butterfly Gardens. Do not buy general admission expecting those upgrades, a private guide or a wildlife-feeding session. The ticket provider is Tiqets International B.V.; the selected product is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

What's included

* Admission to The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi
* Pristine Seas
* Behind the Scenes Tour & Aqua Glass Bridge Walk (with Beyond the Glass ticket)
* Glass Bottom Boat Tour (with Bu Tinah Dhow ticket)
About the attraction
The aquarium is structured as a sequence of ten environments rather than a single hall of tanks. UAE's Natural Treasures introduces the region's relationship with the sea, including its pearl-diving heritage. Red Sea Wreck interprets a submerged shipwreck habitat; Atlantic Cave and Ring of Fire explore how aquatic life adapts to very different environments. Frozen Ocean and The Flooded Forest broaden the experience beyond warm-water reef displays.

Bu Tinah Island brings the journey back to Abu Dhabi's coastal ecology. The real Bu Tinah area is part of an important protected marine environment, and this theme helps connect the exhibit to wildlife conservation closer to home. The National Aquarium also participates in the Wildlife Rescue programme with Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, involving rescue, rehabilitation and release of native wildlife. That conservation context gives the exhibits greater meaning, but an ordinary admission ticket does not promise access to rehabilitation facilities or a hands-on rescue activity.
Who is it for
A good choice for families, first-time visitors and anyone who wants to see the main aquarium exhibits without paying for behind-the-scenes or boat activities. It is particularly practical for an indoor outing in Abu Dhabi, with enough variety for visitors interested in both marine and terrestrial habitats. If you mainly want to cross the elevated glass bridge or ride the dhow, select the applicable upgraded ticket instead. People with limited mobility may find the general exhibition route more suitable than optional boat experiences that can involve steps and additional safety restrictions.
What to expect
1. Arrive at The National Aquarium in Al Qana and present the e-voucher on your phone at the entrance. This product does not include hotel pickup or admission to another Al Qana attraction.

2. Begin the aquarium journey through the themed habitats. Look for the UAE's Natural Treasures displays for regional context, then follow the progression into shipwreck, cave and other aquatic environments.

3. Spend time at larger underwater viewing areas and the zones representing very different climates. The experience is best treated as a self-paced visit rather than a fast walk past every tank; signs explain which habitats and species you are seeing.

4. Visit the Pristine Seas exhibition included with this ticket. If your checkout selection specifically names Beyond the Glass or Bu Tinah Dhow, follow staff instructions for the extra activities. Otherwise, do not expect access to the glass bridge, boat or behind-the-scenes route.

5. Finish the remaining zones at your own pace and leave time for the nearby Al Qana waterfront if you wish. Restaurants, shops and any separate wildlife experiences are not included in the standard admission purchase.
Before you go
The National Aquarium is in the Al Qana waterfront development on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Rabdan, Abu Dhabi. Al Qana has free surface parking and nearby taxi and bus stops; no transfer is provided with this ticket. The venue lists opening hours of 10 am to 10 pm daily, and the ticket provider lists last admission 30 minutes before closing. Hours can change, so confirm them before travel. The aquarium suggests allowing approximately two hours for the main exhibition journey, with extra time for any separately purchased upgrades.

Keep your smartphone e-voucher ready for entrance scanning. Children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by someone aged 16 or over under the venue's rules. Wear a top and shoes, follow health and safety signage, and do not bring pets. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside. The normal visitor route is listed as wheelchair-accessible; the aquarium says wheelchairs can be borrowed without charge in exchange for a valid ID at the counter.

If considering an upgrade, check the option name and restrictions carefully. The glass-bottom boat experience requires guests to manage steps and use a life jacket; its suitability rules differ from those of the standard aquarium journey. The terms of this specific booking say no refunds and no rescheduling. Do not assume the validity rules for tickets bought directly from the aquarium apply to this booking.
Reschedule and cancellation policy
This activity is non-refundable.

Frequently asked questions

Does this ticket also include the Butterfly Gardens?
No. The Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi is a separate attraction at Al Qana. Choose a specific aquarium-and-butterfly-gardens combo product if you want both entrances.
Can I learn about the exhibits without buying a live guided tour?
Yes. The aquarium offers a free mobile signage guide for exhibit information in Arabic, English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi and Russian. This is different from a private guide or a behind-the-scenes tour.
