Discover how a tropical forest works, from its leafy canopy to the flooded ground below.

Overview

This ticket provides general entry to The Green Planet, an indoor tropical rainforest at City Walk in Dubai. Rather than viewing animals only through glass, you walk through a planted environment where some birds fly freely and the exhibits explain how wildlife adapts to different rainforest layers.

The product is sold as a skip-the-line ticket. Booking ahead can save time at the ticket-purchase counter, but the name does not promise immediate entry or exemption from voucher checks and any venue queues.

This is admission to the biodome, not an animal-interaction package. The venue sells separately bookable experiences with sloths, birds, reptiles and other animals; those are not listed as included with this ticket. Nor does it include entry to unrelated City Walk attractions. If you want a particular encounter, compare its own availability, admission requirements and total cost before booking.

What's included

* Access to The Green Planet

What's not included

* Access to any other attraction on the City Walk
About the attraction
The Green Planet is a purpose-built rainforest ecosystem in the middle of Dubai's Al Wasl district. Its four-storey biodome is organised around a large artificial tree, turning the layered structure of a tropical forest into a route visitors can actually follow. The operator describes more than 3,000 plants and animals living within the attraction; this is not a count of 3,000 different species.

Each layer has its own character. The canopy gets the most light and offers a better chance to notice birds among the foliage. The mid-story shows how animals move through sheltered branches. Lower down, the forest floor is darker and quieter, while the flooded rainforest introduces aquatic life.

That design matters because it shows how habitats are connected, not simply which animals are on display. Sloths, birds, reptiles and nocturnal creatures also have their own routines, so sightings and activity levels naturally vary.
Who is it for
This is a useful indoor choice for families, nature enthusiasts and visitors who want a break from Dubai's outdoor heat. It is particularly rewarding for children curious about ecosystems, although younger visitors still need close supervision around the animals and walkways.

Choose a separately bookable wild encounter if your main goal is to meet or feed a particular animal under staff guidance. If you prefer a conventional aquarium focused on fish and sharks, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo offers a different type of visit. Neither experience replaces the other.
What to expect
1. Arrive at The Green Planet in City Walk and present your booking confirmation at the admission point. Staff may need to validate or exchange your voucher, even though you bought the ticket in advance.

2. Begin by exploring the rainforest's upper layers. Around the canopy and mid-story, look for free-flying birds and animals moving between branches. Information displays explain why light, humidity and food sources change with height.

3. Continue through the forest floor and flooded rainforest areas. These zones shift the focus toward shaded habitats, reptiles and aquatic life, offering a contrast with the brighter upper canopy.

4. Look for the Creatures of the Night displays and take time to observe animal behaviour rather than expecting every species to be active on demand. Ask the on-site team about any public educational explanations taking place during your visit.

5. Leave additional paid experiences for a separate booking. A sloth encounter, reptile interaction, behind-the-scenes visit or special activity should never be assumed to come with this standard admission ticket.
Before you go
Where to go: The Green Planet is in City Walk, Al Wasl, Dubai. The Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall is one public-transport option, but the attraction is not inside Dubai Mall; allow for the onward journey. If driving, the operator directs visitors to the C2 underground City Walk parking area. Published parking validation periods differ across its pages, so confirm the entitlement at the venue rather than assuming a fixed number of free hours.

When to visit: official and reseller listings show different weekday opening hours. Check the operator's current schedule and your ticket date before travelling. The biodome maintains tropical conditions, approximately 24–27°C with high humidity; visitors sensitive to humid environments may wish to plan accordingly.

Animal welfare: do not touch, feed, handle or disturb animals unless staff explicitly invite you to do so during an authorised experience. Flash photography and outside food or drink are restricted by venue rules; medically necessary food is an exception under the accessibility guidance.

Families and access: children require supervision. The venue describes free admission for infants under two, with proof of age potentially requested; check the child-ticket categories for your booking. This product is marked wheelchair-accessible, and the venue publishes a sensory guide with information about quieter areas and sensory kits.

Booking conditions: the supplier lists this ticket as non-refundable and not eligible for rescheduling. Check the selected date and the contracting seller's final terms at checkout.
Reschedule and cancellation policy
This activity is non-refundable.

Frequently asked questions

Do children under two need to buy a Green Planet ticket?
The venue states that infants under two enter free, with proof of age required when requested. Check how to add or register an infant through the booking channel you use; children aged two and over have different ticket categories.
Can I take photographs in the rainforest?
Personal photographs are generally permitted. Avoid flash, and follow the staff's instructions around animals. Selfie sticks and ordinary tripods are accepted only at the venue's discretion, so do not rely on being allowed to use extra equipment.
